FOREHEAD "BROW" LIFT
A forehead lift improves the appearance of a person's face by restoring youth and vitality to the area above the eyes. It will minimize lines that make a person appear tired, sleepy and even angry.
It is often performed with a facelift or an eyelift to provide a balanced, smoother look to the face. Your surgeon will recommend what procedures are best for your needs and goals.
Best candidates for a Forehead lift
A forehead lift is popular for men and women between the ages of 40-60 years who have developed furrows or frown lines, and wish to look more alert and refreshed.
Preparation for a Forehead lift
The surgeon will consult with you either by email or on the phone prior to your departure to understand your requests fully, and will also detail the procedure, benefits and risks and answer any questions you have. He may require additional information from you before booking the procedure - including a photo, and a doctor's medical report.
The assessment with the surgeon will give you a detailed understanding of the treatment and what you should expect. When you are happy with what has been discussed, and have signed a booking form for the operation, the surgery will be booked at a date agreed.
You will then have another consultation with the surgeon when you arrive in Malaysia, where he will evaluate your face, your vision and your tear production. At this appointment you and your surgeon will discuss your goals, and last queries you have and finalise the plan for surgery.
PROCEDURE
There are 2 methods for a forehead lift. Either choice can be carried out under either local or general anesthetic, depending on what you and your surgeon would prefer.
"Classic or "open" method, where the incision is cut within the hairline from ear-to-ear and lifted back. This will minimize scarring as the incision is concealed within the hair.
"Endoscopic method - instead of one long incision, there are a number of incisions around the scalp. The operation is carried out by an endoscope, a pencil like camera. You will be required to stay at least one night in hospital.

There may be some numbness, itching and soreness around the hairline where the incisions have been made in the days after surgery. This can be lessened with medication prescribed by the surgeon. You may have some bruising and swelling for a few days to a week after the surgery.
